     Wedding Gift

Crazy We have a 22 year old guy in our office who lives at home with his Mom & Dad. His cousin is getting married and sent an invitation to the "family" to attend the wedding. He plans on going and doesn't think he needs to give a gift individually or contribute to a gift with his parents because he will be covered under his parents gift since an invitation was not sent to him directly.

Is he being politically correct??

We all think not but would like other opinions.

Re: [kpompe] Wedding Gift [In reply to]

I don't see anything wrong with a group gift from a family; especially since they were invited as such. What I do see as an issue is this grown man, living at home with his parents, (he obviously has a job and an income) and not insisting he give his parents "a little something" to help purchase a wedding gift for his cousin.

Shame on him and shame on his parents for enabling him!

Sorry...but you asked! Shocked
