     Wedding gift

My husband and I got married about a year ago in Jamaica. A bunch of his family paid for themselves to go down. My sister in law is getting married in August. I just don't know what an appropriate gift would be. I don't know if they are expecting since they paid to go down to Jamaica (which they are from) that we should give them an expensive gift or a bunch of money. Any advice?

Dear Gifting,

You would give based on your relationship, not what they are expecting. There is no appropriate gift based on what they may be expecting.

Honestly, money is my least favorite gift. There is no way to determine what is too much or too little. There is always a chance of insulting someone.

Best wishes,
