Wedding gift etiquette for guest who were not invited.
A coworker of mine is getting married in 3 weeks, and no-one in our department has received an invitation from the couple. There are only 4 people in our department including the guy who is getting married, so we know each other pretty well. His finance also works with us, just in another department. Since none of us have received an invitation we are assuming that we will not be invited since the wedding is almost here. There has also been no explanation as to why they might not invite us. We are not sure if we should still get them a gift since we haven't been invited, and at this point, probably won't be. Should we still get them a gift?

Dear Mbailey,
Giving the gift isn't dictated on whether you are invited or not. It is based on your relationship with the person. You could if you wish to, but are not obligated.
Many cannot invite coworkers. It is usually a matter of budget and space.
