     Wedding gift giving timeframe

My boyfriend and I are in disagreement as to the proper etiquette for gift giving. His position is that guests of a wedding have up to one year with which to give or send a gift. He was in attendance for two weddings this year, one of which, he was a groomsman. My point is that a wedding gift should be given at the time of the wedding. What are your thoughts? What is the correct time frame?

Wedding gifts should be sent to the home of the bride before the wedding or given at the wedding. In some instances where there are extenuating circumstances, like the store made an error or the mail delivery was slow, gifts can be sent after the wedding has taken place.

Of course, if your boyfriend still wants to send a wedding gift he should, along with a note of apology, but in the future, he should not wait until after the wedding.
