Wedding thank you notes one year later

I know this is inexcusable, but we still have a few thank you notes for wedding gifts outstanding one year after the wedding. We would like to thank our guests who kindly sent gifts; should we apologize about sending the notes so late, or not mention it?

Dear T-cat,

At this point in would be best to apologize with your thanks.

Best wishes,
