If a wedding gift is received before the wedding, when should you open it and when should you send a thank you note? I would like to thank the guest for coming to the wedding in the same thank you if at all possible.

All wedding gifts are supposed to be sent to the home of the bride before the wedding. You should open the gift and send a thank you note right away so your guest knows you received it. Top Wedding Questions Forum Moderator - "Write your sorrows in the sand, your blessings in stone".
