     gift too late?

I am embarassed to even ask this. But, I attended a wedding for a friend almost a year ago. I brought the gift to the reception, but forgot the card. So, I decided to mail it to him after. I was so absent minded, that I never did. Now, it's almost a year and the present is still in my attic. Do I even bother? Is it too late? I thought maybe by this time he and his wife have forgotten and I didn't want to remind them of my stupidity. I did mention it to him and we laughed about it a few months after the wedding, but I never did.

There's no real right or wrong answer here. Do what you feel most comfortable doing. If you still want the couple to have this gift, and it's just going to be collecting dust in your attic, give it to them and have another laugh. It's a personal decision and only you know the personality of the couple and your relationship with them.
