     gifts for a second wedding

Both my fiance and I have gone through first marriages in the past 5 years. We are both part of the same community so a lot of people who came to our first marriages will also be attending our wedding. My questions:

What should we do about gifts? Do we go ahead and register? Or not register and spread the word that we prefer not to receive gifts?

Dear Second Wedding,

Register, because some will still want to give you gifts. Gift giving is optional for these guests. So, it is good to give them the choice.

Thank you for not focusing on gifts. It is so refreshing. :)

Best wishes,
