gifts for more than one shower

If the bride has two showers and the couple has an additional shower together, are you expected to bring a gift to all events? I was invited to one of the bride's showers and sent a gift because I could not attend. The groom's parents are throwing a shower for both of them which we were invited to. Do we bring an additional gift? (one more thing, my husband is in the bridal party!)

Dear Too Many Gifts,

No. You may be invited to all of them because your husband is in the bridal party, but you only give once.

Only bridal party members are supposed to be invited to more than one shower. All other wedding guests should only be invited to only one.

The parents should not host a bridal shower though. It is viewed as self serving.

Best wishes,
