Since this is a second wedding for us both, we are planning a very small(immediate family)wedding ceremony. His parents, who are great people and thrilled for us, are throwing an elaborate reception party for us. I would like to give them each (they are divorced) a thank you gift for all they are doing and for making me and my children feel like we've always been part of the family. Does anyone have any Ideas?
My first suggestion is to tell them how much they mean to you. So often we forget to just tell those we care for just how deply they've touched us.
Have a pciture taken at the wedding of the whole family, insert into a beautiful new frame. Have the couple over for dinner and present them with the gift.

I couldn't agree more. Gifts don't always have to be bought or expensive. Words mean so much. And, the picture will be an extension of those words. Rebecca Black, Etiquette Now
Speaking of lucky -- I just remembered a gift I received on a first date (now my fiance so I guess it was a good gift) -- lucky bamboo plant.
According to the Feng Shui legend Lucky Bamboois a favored element of a harmonious home or office environment. The tiered design is thought to anchor FORTUNE to the location where it is placed.
This might be a good way to let them know how lucj you feel to have these wponderful people as part of your new family. Top Wedding Questions Forum Moderator - "Write your sorrows in the sand, your blessings in stone".
Totally agree with the Queen. It is so good to hear of families being accepted completely. How wonderful it is to start a new beginning with such positive energy. Just had to say HURRAY!!!
