thank you cards when the giver is not known

How do I write a thank you card for the gifts I received at my wedding? All the cards and gift cards fell out of my gift bags or came off my presents so the giver is not known. I need help please.....Frown

Dear Chiki,

Your options are slim to none to do anything but say thank you for the wonderful, generous or thoughtful gift. This is something that makes for a nightmare when the gift cards don't stay with the gifts.

For all future brides and guests: This is one of the reasons etiquette suggests sending the gift to the home of the bride before the wedding. This, plus transporting and keeping the gifts from being stolen too. Etiquette is typically quite logical and useful so, for all those suggesting that etiquette is old fashioned or just someone's opinion...this one's for you!

Hopefully, this will help someone in the future.

Good luck to you, Chikis05!
