     wedding gifts brought to wedding?

I am getting married in September of this year. I realize that it is still very early, but no one has mentioned throwing a shower. Are wedding gifts supposed to given at a shower or brought to the actual wedding? The last wedding I went to the gifts were given at the shower.

A bridal shower is an optional pre-wedding party. The gifts given at a shower are shower gifts. Wedding gifts are to be sent to the home of the bride before the wedding.
