     $1800 TV on wedding registry

My best girlfriend is getting married Sept 1 outside in Phoenix, AZ, and doesn't plan on doing anything to help keep her guests comfortable in the 105+ temperature. I just looked up their registry and saw that they are asking for an $1800 TV along with an iPod and a Wii game console. Would talking to her about this be inappropriate or should I just let it go?

Hopefully they have registered for a variety of items, however, I don't think their registry has a lot to do with their knowledge of planning a wedding or their guests' comfort.

If you have concerns, voice them. It may be that the bride just didn't consider the heat. Remind her that she may have guests who are elderly, infirmed or are not used to that type of weather.
