Gift registry for blessing of a marriage ceremony?
My husband and I had a civil marriage at the courthouse back in april (we just couldn't wait to be married). Our civil marriage was made known, we at the time could not afford a real wedding. Now, in august, we are having our marriage blessed by parents pastor, in my parents backyard. My question is am I supposed to register for gifts? Some people say I should and some people say I should not. Can you please help??
Thank you!!!!!

A blessing of your marriage ceremony is not typcially a gift giving event however, you can register, just in case anyone wants to send a gift. Please do not list the gift registry in your invitations. You can tell your close friends and family and let them tell anyone who asks.
You can treat this service more like a vow renewal than a wedding since you are already legally married. Top Wedding Questions Forum Moderator - "Write your sorrows in the sand, your blessings in stone".
