Gift registry for reception but no ceremony.

Hello, We are Eloping in Napa Valley with just a few family members. We are having the reception at our home a few weeks after the wedding. Is it okay to have a wedding registry even though the guests did not attend the ceremony.

You're correct that gifts should only be expected from guests invited to the wedding ceremony. However, there could be friends and family members interested in making a gift purchase, even if they aren't "obligated" to do so. You can still register, allowing guests to find out on their own if/where you are registered.
