     Gifts etiquette

I recently joined a special gift registry where you can earn points towars gift items and want to earn as many points as possible. Is it rude for me to ask friends and family to join the program and make me the beneficiary of their points? I know everyone would glady do it, but I've always been told its rude to mention anything of gifts.

Dear Gifts,

Just my opinion, but I think it is best to treat this like any other gift request. Tell your close family and friends what you want and ask them to spread the word. You know how fast gossip spreads. You should have all the points you want quickly.

Best wishes,
