Including gift registry with reception invitations
I recently asked the question about having a small wedding but big reception and whether guests invited to the reception ONLY are required to bring a gift, the answer of course was "no". Which is fine by me, though, now we are wondering if we should register for gifts at all and if so, (when sending invitations for the reception ONLY invitees) should we inform them as to where we are registered?
That seems a bit tacky to me. Am I wrong?
Thanks for your help :-)

It's fine to go ahead and register for gifts since there may be those who wish to give. But, please do not include registry information in the reception invitation. Register with popular gift registries and allow the recipient to find the registry on their own or by asking you or someone close to you. If you have a wedding website you can posit your registry information there. Top Wedding Questions Forum Moderator - "Write your sorrows in the sand, your blessings in stone".
