Including items for our kids on gift registry

I was just wondering about whether or not to include things for our daughter on the gift registry. My fiance and I have been together for almost 7 years and I cannot find anything online about whether or not it's tacky for us to register things for kids, such as new bedding. I know that the goal in registering is to receive gifts to help us start our new life together but she is a part of that life.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

Dear Jlovely,

That wouldn't be appropriate. In fact, many guests are now rebelling against the many gift 'ideas' couples have these days. Miss Manners ranted in her most recent article about this very thing. So, it is best to stick to gifts for you two and in a reasonable price range.

Best wishes,
