     Instead of a traditional registry...

Is it wrong to not have a registry? My fiance and I already live together and really don't need or want anything. What we want is to be able to go on a honeymoon...which we nor our families can really afford even with all of us putting our money together.

Would it be acceptable to have a "Honeymoon Registry" where people can give money to put towards our honeymoon instead of having a traditional wedding registry? If so, how would we let people know about the "Honeymoon Registry"?

Thanks for your help...

Dear Wants a Honeymoon,

It is acceptable to have a honeymoon registry, but many people do not respond positively to it. In fact, many simply do not give because you are only giving them one option. However, you are not obligated to register for anything.

If you do this, the registry information may be posted on your wedding website (not the first page). Guests are also notified by word of mouth and only if they ask.

This registry should not be used for a shower.

Best wishes,
