     Registry Card in Invitations

I have been told that I should not include the gift registry cards in the invitations. However, I have received many wedding invitations with the cards inserted in them. Also, I am working alot so if they call to find out where we are registered, I will not be able to return calls until the weekend..if I have time.

What would be the best way to inform people of where we are registered without it being "taboo". I know I will be putting links on our wedding website, but not everyone has internet access.

Dear Registry Cards,

I know what you mean about registry cards in invitations these days. The stores encourage brides to do so knowing that it is not in good taste. The only way you can let your guests know besides using your wedding website is to spread the word through friends and family. Hopefully 'word of mouth' can work its magic for you.

Best wishes,
