Saving wedding gifts to use later

My fiance' and I live an apartment together and will be getting married next year. We have already registered for gifts. After the wedding we plan on moving to a house in about a year and a half. My question is when the gifts come if we could put them in storage and use them when we move into a house? If yes, should we be worried about guests not liking the fact that we are not using their gifts yet? I just don't want to use the gifts, if any, right away. I want to save them for when we get a new house together. Is this ok?

Thanks in Advance!!Smile

Dear Saving the Gifts,

No one needs to know if you are using the gifts anyway. We really shouldn't use any before the wedding and not using them afterwards is just fine. But, the thank you notes must be handwritten as soon as you receive the gift.

Best wishes,
