Too many items on wedding gift registry

Our wedding gift registry includes less that 150 items. Our guest list is for just over 100 people so I thought this was appropriate to give enough options for everyone and did not start second guessing the size of my registry until groom's mother suggested the list was too long. Is there an appropriate number of gifts for a registry list?

Dear Soontobefutrell,

I really doubt many will count the number of items on your list. Heavens sake. Who has that kind of time? Wink

There is no rule about how many items should be on your registry. We just create a registry with a variety of low cost items to off set some that may be on the higher side. But, this is just a guide-line for your guests. They may or may not purchase a gift for you from it.

Best wishes,
