     Too much? Too little?

How much is too much or too little to register for? I don't want it to look like we want to be given the whole store. At the same time, however, I don't want the guests to not have enough choices and/or be limited to something too expensive for them to purchase.
Also, how do the guests find out where we are registered? And when should we register? Our wedding isn't until July '05. Should we do that soon... or wait until the beginning of next year?

Register for whatever you like.

Wedding gift registry is usually selected at four to six month before the wedding but I don't see any reason you could not sign up for a gift registry even up to a year before the wedding. Check with the registry of your choice to be sure.

Get yourself a personal wedding website and list your registry there. You can use the site to give directions, uploads pictures of yourselves, etc. Please do not send registry cards in wedding invitations. Limit that to the bridal shower only.
