gift registry on wedding web site

I can't for the life of me figure this one out. Is it ok to include link to gift registry on wedding web site? Many people say it would almost be rude not to (especially with so many out of town and out of country wedding guests) but I know it is not polite to include with invitations and I don't want to imply that gifts are required! What is the etiquette on this one? Help!

It is fine to include a link to your gift registry on your website.
