making a member of your family in charge of Gift registry?
Is it alright to have one of my family members help with gift registry? My mother is very busy these days helping me prepare for the wedding. The person I had in mind is someone that could assist her however is very good at houskeeping in the family and she usually helps the family choose the right dishes and more. Is it apporiate to ask everyone in the family to help out so no one feels left out? I don't want anyone to feel left out before the big day!!!
Thanks Cassie

Dear Cassie:
It is fine to ask your family member to help you select your gift registry, as long as your fiance agrees.
I don't think you'll want to ask all of the other family members to get involved since it is as the old saying goes, "too many cooks spoil the soup!"
You can involve your other family members in many different ways depending on their age and talents. Try speaking with these people and ask them how or if they fell like they can help. Someone with really terrific handwriting could address the invitiations or someone with some craft skills could come up with unique wedding favor ideas. You may be surprised to find hidden talents or even people who don't wish to participate. Always ask. Top Wedding Questions Forum Moderator - "Write your sorrows in the sand, your blessings in stone".
