Annoucments are sent as soon AFTER the wedding as possible. Announcements are sent to those that could not attend the wedding or were not invited to inform them of your marriage. The wording depends on whi is doing the announcing.

The following are sample wedding announcment wording:

Bride's Parents Announcing the Wedding:

Mr. and Mrs. Bride's Parents
proudly announce
the marriage of their daughter
Susan marie
to
Mr. Thomas P. Jones
Saturday, the sixteenth of June
Two Thousand Four
Place: Ceremony
Address

Bride and Groom Announcing:

BRIDE
and
GROOM
are happy to announce
their marriage
on (DAY) the (DATE)
YEAR
LOCATION
CITY, STATE
