     Announcement & Save the Date?

We are getting married in a private ceremony with just our immediate families in Decemeber. We will be hosting a reception in June for extended family and friends. Can we include a "save the date" postcard for the reception with the wedding announcement?

I would then send out the actual reception invitation closer to the date.

Dear Announcing,

Actually, you wouldn't need to announce your wedding to those invited to the reception. They would know you are married or will be once the save the date or invitation arrived. So, only send announcements to those not invited to either event.

Best wishes,
