     Announcement & requesting NO gifts

Both he and I have been married before. When we marry in a month (just the two of us, no guests), we will send out a VERY informal annoucement (after the fact) ... more of an FYI. We really don't want anyone to send any cards or gifts or money. Should we address this in that "very informal announcement/FYI"..and if so, how to word?

A wedding announcement does not obligate the recipient to send a gift so writing anything to do with your gift expectation is a no-no. Some peole may send a gift but again, they are not obigated to do so.
