     Announcement before getting married?

Hi,

My boyfriend and I are getting married in a couple of weeks. We are going to have a "private family dinner" and a party in my hometown maybe next year Crazy.....Since I have a lot of friends that live out of my state, I would like to send them an announcement before my wedding day to inform them that I am getting married.

Is there any way to make an informal prior announcement for that? Which would be the right words to do it???

Thanks!!

No, an announcement is sent after the wedding. After all, how (or why) do you announce a wedding that has not yet taken place? This would be mistaken for an invitation.

then....what about if I want to inform??? The reason is because I am not going to make any party....just something private which no one is invited but my family

You'll inform anyone who needs to know you've been married after the wedding. If you're not invited the recipient to an event then there is no need to inform them of anything until after the marriage has happened, right?
