We were originally scheduled to be married in February 08, but due to fiancee's illness, we had to cancel a month before. We had to send out cards announcing that the wedding was cancelled (it was quite a nightmare). We decided to reschedule a destination wedding for June of 08, and invited only immediate family and friends. Of course, not everybody can make it, but we decided to forego a party when we get home, as we already had an engagement party, another wedding cancelled (lost a lot of money) and now we are having a party for the 20+ people who are able to make it.
Question is...do we send announcements to those invited to the original wedding although we do not plan on having a party when we return? Thanks so much for any advice.

Re: [darae] Do we send wedding announcements?

Dear Darae,
Announcements are sent to those who really need to know you are married and haven't been invited to your wedding or reception. So, if you want these people to know you are married, send them an announcement.
