How to announce a second marriage

I was married December 26 at the home of my new husband in the presence of his parents, his daughter (12), my daughters (11 & 14), his brother, the minister and his wife. We decided that morning at 10 that we would do it that day and were husband and wife by 5.

We would like to send an announcement to family and friends (who will likely be surprised) and would love advice on wording and advice on how to announce a celebration later in January.

Thanks in advance!

Renee

Dear Renee,

Only send announcements, which can be the traditional announcements sent by the couple, to those who will not be invited to your reception. The reception invitations will be the announcement to those invited.

Best wishes,
