We were wondering how to word the newspaper announcement of the engagement/wedding regarding the inviting part, for the wedding and reception. Everyone we want to be there will receive an invitation. It is a small town and community and we don't want wedding crashers. So should we state "by invitation only"? or Say invitations are being or have been sent? How should this be stated? One suggestion was to just leave out the time of the event. Your help is so appreciated and this sight has been such a guideline for our planning. Thank you, Bestmomnlaw.

The newspaper should have a form for you to complete. You won't mention the reception location or date of the wedding. Typically you will say the wedding date is set for September 2010. Top Wedding Questions Forum Moderator - "Write your sorrows in the sand, your blessings in stone".
