Include spouse and fiance' on Wedding Announcement Envelope

Thank you for hosting this very valuable and popular website.

I will send a wedding announcement to two acquaintences; one who is married and the other engaged and close to marriage date when announcements are sent. Since I know only the women, is it customary, and in keeping with proper etiquette, to address their spouse and fiance' on the wedding announcement envelope?

I don't know their spouse's and fiance's complete name nor do I have their current addresses. Is it proper to ask for this information?

Dear SunnyBride,

Thank you for the compliment. We do try.

No worries. This isn't an invitation, so you can list only your friend's names.

Best wishes,
