     Marriage Celebration Party Invitation wording

My husband and I are giving a informal party for a friend and his new wife. They were married in Mexico a a few days ago. I am not sure how to word the invitations. Many of the people who will receive the invitations will not know that these two were recently married, therefore it will be an announcement of sorts.

You will send a wedding reception sort of invitation. The guests will understand that these two had been married becuse you're sending an invitation for a reception. This will be an invitation, not an announcement.

Please review this page on wedding invitation wording.
