     Military Announcement

Hello,

I need some help on the wording for our invitations. My Fiance is a Captain in the Air Force I would like to use his title in our invitations. This is how I had it worded,

Bride -

First, Middle Initial, Last

Groom -

Captain, First, Middle Initial, Last

My Fiance thinks that they should read like this:

Bride - Miss, First, Middle Initial, Last

Groom - Captain, First Middle Initial, Last

Since he has a "title" in front of his name is it necessary that I have a title in front of my name?

Thank you for you help

Shea

Dear Shea,

You don't need a title, but it wouldn't hurt. It is entirely your choice.

Typically, though, if the bride's parents are listed as hosts (at the top of the invitation) the bride's last name is not used. If you two are hosting (paying) then it is fine.

Best wishes,
