     Moving overseas after wedding

My daughter is getting married in the states, but will be residing in Hawaii after the wedding. Is there anyway to properly indicate on the wedding announcement that they will have a difficult time taking gifts (other than money or gift cards) with them?

Wedding announcements do not oblige the recipient to send a gift. They are merely notes sent to people not invited to the wedding to let them know the couple has been married. Even though some recipients may decide to send a gift, you wouldn't make any mention of gifts. However, if you make the return address your daughter's home address in Hawaii then the recipient of the announcement would know where to send a gift if they wanted to send one.
