Sending wedding invitations or wedding announcements?
I am not getting married in my "home state." I would like to send invitations to people who I know cannot attend, but just want to share my good news with them. I don't want it to seem I am expecting a gift - just sharing my news. What is the best way to handle this?

You will send a wedding announcement since announcements do not oblige the recipient to send a gift. They are, as they imply, just an announcement. Top Wedding Questions Forum Moderator - "Write your sorrows in the sand, your blessings in stone".
