Should Sick Aunt receive an invitation?

Hello,

I am preparing to send out my wedding invitations. I have been in contact with my aunt and uncle via email since we have been engaged (they live 15hr drive away). Last year my aunt suffered a severe spinal cord injury and my uncle wrote me an email stating "we are very happy for you, but I dont think we can travel due to your aunt's condition". She is my father's only sibling. Should I send an invitation anyways?

Thanks,

ES

I'm sorry to hear about your Aunt's disability.

You should still send the invitation. Let your Uncle know that you will be sending it out of respect for them but understand if they cannot come. Many peoole like to receive the invitation anyway to have as a keepsake. If you didn't send it they may wonder if they are invited and sometimes situations change. I hope that could be the case with your aunt. But, if it isn't, she'll still know you are thinking of her.

Perhaps you'll have video that you can send or show when you visit.
