     Too late for newspaper announcements?

My hubby and I were married in mid-September, about two and a half months ago. We did not get around to putting engagement or wedding announcements in the newspapers, which our mothers would still like to do. Is it too tacky to do so long after the big event?

Thanks,

Mari

PS: I will post a separate question, per the site's request, regarding mailing announcements.

Dear Mari,

It is too late for engagement announcements as you are already married. But, you may announce your wedding.

Best wishes,
