We were married two and a half months ago. We would like to mail announcements to friends and family who we were not able to invite to the wedding. I have created a special card with our wedding photos, that I also used as our Thank You cards. I had intended to use it for our announcements. I knew we wouldn't be able to mail the announcements immediately after the wedding since we were using the photos. Unfortunately, the card took a lot longer to put together than I expected, and I wanted to get the Thank You cards out first.
Is it way too late to mail announcements?
Thank you,
Mari
PS: Although the Thank You cards weren't sent within three weeks, the card earned us some forgiveness for the delay. Everyone has raved about it.

Dear Mari,
These are supposed to be sent directly after the wedding, but you may send these out now. Please only send these to people who really need to know as some consider these a plea for gifts even though no gifts should be expected.

Thanks Rebecca. Something that has always confused me is who would fall under the "NEED to know" category? There are many people who would LIKE to know, but I honestly don't understand who might actually NEED to know other than banks and government agencies. I don't think I'll send them my photo announcement .
Thanks again,
Mari

Dear Mari,
Too funny. I completely agree and it is a great question.
Actually, a name card is often sent (instead of an announcement) to business associates and credit card companies. No picture is needed
