I will be married on July 1. I own a business and have (obviously) been using my name professionally. I will be changing my name to my fiance's last name and using it professionally. What is the appropriate manner to inform my clients and business associates that I will be taking on a new name. I will sending out announcements to distant relatives. Can I use the same announcement? If so, how do I word it to let people know I will be changing my name. If not, what is the proper wording for letting business associates know my new name.

Maybe I should also mention that I used my name fairly publicly - on marketing pieces, company newsletters, etc. Thanks again.

Dear New Name,
You could enclose a 'Name Card' with your announcements. Yours could look like this:
Ms. Jane Doe will be changing her name to Ms. Jane Smith following her marriage Date.
You could incorporate this information on your announcement also. But, it is less traditional.
