     Who issues wedding announcements?

My husband and I are the bride's parents and we issued the wedding invitations, with the groom's parents written after "son of". Since we are the wedding hosts, do we issue the announcements with our names only? When the groom's parents are included on the announcements, does this mean they also hosted the wedding? Or, does each set of parents send out separate announcements?

Typically you would send the announcements in your name only. The groom's family can spread the happy news to those whom were not invited from their side of the family.

There would be nothing 'wrong' with having both parent's names on the announcements since this is just a note that shares the news. It doesn't imply that they cohosted. It just means that their son is married to your daughter.

Best wishes,
