Wording wedding announcements including parent's names

Aloha,

We will be married in Hawaii and would like to send announcements upon return.

1. How (exactly) should we word the announcement using the bride's parent's names?

2. Does the bride use the married or maiden name?

This is what I came up with:

Mr. & Mrs. Bride's parents

Have the honor of announcing

The Marriage of their daughter

Bride (maiden or married name?)

to

Groom

On the Twenty-Fifth of July

Two Thousand Five

Maui, Hawaii

Groom & Bride reside at

Address

Mahalo!

Aloha MittenKitty,

The example you created is good with just a little tweaking. You could just use your first and middle name, since your parent's names are listed. If you choose to use your last name, it would be your maiden name.

Just insert the day of the week on this line: "On the Twenty-Fifth of July" And, you would insert the word 'and' on this line:Two Thousand Five.

Typically, at home cards would be enclosed to state your new address. But, if these are informal, there is nothing wrong including your new address on your announcement.
