     out of state invitees

Our daughter is getting married here in CA where we live. We have lived here since she was six months old. Although she knows many of my MI relatives, we are having a small wedding (150) and cannot invite all of them (approx. 75 MI relatives.) We do want to invite some of them, though, to both the wedding and the reception. Do we send the "uninvited" guests a wedding invitation with NO reception card or do we send a separate notice of the wedding only as an announcement? PLEASE HELP!! I've never seen this addressed in several etiquette books I have scanned trying to find the answer. Thank you. Sandy

Only send wedding invitations to the people you WANT to attend. Send announcements after the wedding to the rest.
