     save the date letter?

It would be more affordable for us to send out save the date letters on pretty paper versus save the date cards.

We need to inform our 150 out of town guests of at least 10 different hotel accommodations (due to fact that we can only get 2-3 rooms held per hotel). That said, we were thinking that a letter might be the best way to do this as long in the context of a save the date letter. We would mail said letter in a regular business envelope and then ask people to go to our website for more details.

Are save the date letters appropriate? What would you include in such a letter?

Dear Southsidebride,

I wouldn't know the cost of each. You would probably have to contact the Post Office about this. But, the letter is fine. Listing your wedding website would be alright as long as your registry information is hidden. It shouldn't be prominent because there should never be gift information in save the dates or wedding invitations.
