my son and his bride-to-be made their invites by hand and didn't include their last names or their parents' last names. Is it proper to send an announcement to let family and friends of ours WHO exactly is sending them this invite?
Wouldn't friends and family know who it is by all of the names on the invitation and the location? It is unfortunate that there are no last names, but it seems as though the guests would figure it out.
If you don't think they will, it would be better to call them than to send out an announcement. This may confuse more because announcements are mailed after the wedding. Rebecca Black, Etiquette Now
