My fiance and I are eloping. We have moved far from home. We would like to know how to let everyone know and also how do we tell everyone where we are registered? Please help!

Dear Wedding Announcements,

One option would be to create a wedding blog, or web site, which details your wedding plans. You may include information about registries there. Because you are not inviting anyone to a wedding or reception, you really cannot send any cards out to announce your wedding ahead of time (invitations and save the date cards). You may, however, announce it in the paper.

After your wedding, you may and really should mail out announcements informing everyone about your marriage. It is not polite to mention gifts or registries on this though.

Best wishes,
