Addressing Invites with no inner envelope

I am addressing invitations for a friend who has chosen not to use an inner envelope. Does this change how I address them? For example, I know nicknames and children are often only included on the inner envelope...does the absence of an inner envelope mean that they are included instead on the outer envelope, or left off altogether?

Dear Addressing,

The only difference would be that you would add all the names of the invited on the outside of the envelope.

You are a very good friend to do this.

Sincerely,
