     Addressing Wedding Invitations

I am having some friends help me address my invitations because my handwriting is very inconsistent and quite frankly ugly.

I was wondering if you had a suggestion as to the kind of pen to use. None of them know caligraphy, so it will just be their normal handwriting. Is a Bic Round Stic medium point sufficient or should I look for more of a quaility pen? I will need to purchase about five for all of them to have one to use and have a spare and I don't want to spend a lot of money, but I don't want the invitations to look tacky either.

Thank you for any suggestions you have! I may just be over-functioning here...

Dear NOT over-functioning:

This is a valid question; you've no doubt spent a lot of money on these invitations and you want them to look just right.

Traditional wedding invitations should be addressed in black or blue fountain pen, no ball point pens like the one you mentioned. Go to an office supply store like Staples or OfficeMax to make the purchase. Give them to your helpers as a small token of your thanks.

Expensive pens are not really in my budget, but I do want the invitations to look nice. What would be the next best thing?

Why don't you get a calligraphy pen set? They are more affordable.
