Addressing an Invitation to the Mayor

Please advise on how to address both the inner envelope and outer envelope to an invitation going to a mayor and his wife. Thank you!

Dear Delightful,

The outer envelope would read: The Honorable John Smith, Mayor of Your Town. The wife's name would be printed under his. On the inner envelope it would read: Mayor Smith (Mr. would be alright as well) and Mrs. Smith.

Best wishes,
